Prologue

About me and my blog.

Why am I starting a blog?

  • My blog is about sharing knowledge on what I have learnt; whether this is in the form of book reviews, short summaries on technical areas in software development or some personal productive habits
  • I recommend this blog for individuals who are interested in self development and software development.

My background

I am graduate software engineer from Staffordshire University (2018), now working as a software engineer at Capula ltd.

Since 2016, I targeted myself to read at least one book each month. Each year of being an absolute sponge, I have gravitated towards topics such as self development, auto biographies, finance, software development and recently blockchain technology.

During my studying years through college and university, I was an amateur sprint track cyclist for nearly a decade, pursuing the British cycling track squad positions (unfortunately never got selected). Although, from this dedicative time I did have some success achieving national titles (junior sprint champ, senior sprinter’s league champ, etc) and it came with hardened experiences of taking ownership of failures and understanding how to adapt and overcome areas of weakness physically and mentally.

Finally, my pursuit in cycling ended in 2017…

Energy was refocused. Achieved a first class degree in software engineering, and subsequently progressed to becoming a full time software engineer, whilst ensuring the commitment I had from when I was an athlete, is still being used today, but instead for an industry sector that is just as competitive in some regards, and from which gives me energy.

Thanks for reading this far. I will be posting on a weekly basis mostly and if you interested it my posts please subscribe to my blog by signing up with your email address, or just bookmark me 🙂
