🎨 Impressions

Before reading this book I had already practiced the Wim Hof Method and did my own research on this.

To say the least, before delving into this the Wim Hof method changed my life. Since 2018 I began cold showers daily and also delved into ice baths and the breathing technique. The amount of positive clean energy that this has contributed to me personally has enabled myself to be more productive and capable of handling tough situations.

What this book provides is a recap and provides further details into both the history and research of WHM. This also motivated me practice the breathing technique on a more regular basis.

⚡️ Who Should Read It?

I think this book is for individuals who either want to learn about WHM or want to learn more about it. This is a good fast track into the understanding of the method.

Additionally, if you are looking for something that can increases your personal wellness with some fast results, this is definitely something you could read.

To add, this book was under 8 hours to complete. It is an easy read for the most part, when delving into the history of Wim. Although, there are technical areas on the sciences behind the breathing technique and cold exposure training. Wim breaks this down into understandable components, detailing relationship between cold exposure and brown fat development benefits.

☘️ How the Book Changed Me

1. Gave me more insight into the breathing technique, and this is simplified. This has allowed me to consciously regulate my mood and wind down after a busy day, after implementing this breathing technique. This has also helped me clear brain fog we accumulate throughout the day, which increases the amount of mentally sharp hours I have.

2. Renewed motivation to continue on with the WHM and gave me a greater appreciation of the origins of this.

3. Historical super human achievements of Wim that he had accomplished with the method to prove to people he’s not a charlatan. What is quite admirable is that he was able to do this by teaching others how to harness the technique, again and again with results that are now scientifically backed, from various university establishments.

4. It also guided me to the WHM app on the AppStore, this app, this was a game changer in getting the breathing method correct, as in the past I pieced tutorials and tips from different practitioners, which found over complicated it. For those who are interested:

✍️ My Top 3 Quotes

“A cold shower a day keeps the doctor away”

“If you want conviction, dig within yourself. If you want understanding, just do it.”

“In the Bhagavad Gita they say, ‘The mind under control is your best friend, the mind wandering about is your worst enemy.’ Make it your best friend, to the point where you can rely on it. Your mind makes you strong from within. It is your wise companion. The sacrifices you make will be rewarded. Life doesn’t change, but your perception does. It’s all about what you focus on. Withdraw from the world’s influence and no longer be controlled by your emotions. If you can grab the wheel of your mind, you can steer the direction of where your life will go.”
